The Baume & Marcier brand has profound roots starting from 1830 when the two Baume brothers opened a watch shop in the town of Les Bois. The company Frères Baume started prospering rapidly and obtained important results in the sector of high quality horology. At the beginning of the Twenties, William Baume decided to engage in a partnership with Paul Mercier.
As a consequence of this, Baume & Mercier took form in 1918 in Geneva. The company soon became popular for its original ideas and for the elegance of its products. Its shaped out wristwatches represent an innovative turning point for the brand: the watch dial is not exclusively round shaped anymore as new models start springing from incredibly original designs.
