In 1755, the master craftsman Jean-Marc Vacheron, just turned 24, opened a laboratory in Geneva and hired the first apprentice with the scope of transmitting him his own savoir-faire. From this acquaintance emerges the most ancient Maison, now active uninterruptedly for over 260 years.
In 1819, Jean-Marc Vacheron’s nephew Jacques-Barthélemi Vacheron, teamed up with François Constantin, an expert salesman with a great business acumen. The Maison has had an enduring success, alive even today. Its watches are the tribute to high quality craftsmanship.
