An elegant tradition that dates back to 1832, in the Swiss town of Saint-Imier: here the innovative genius Auguste Agassiz started a laboratory of pocket watches which soon opened up to the U.S. market.
1867 was the year of the inauguration of the first factory by Ernest Francillon and the year of production of the first movement: the famous 20A won the company a promotion at the Universal Exposition in Paris. From then onwards, the winged hourglass, symbol of Longines, has had an unstoppable success: more than 10 Grand Prix were won in all ten International and Universal Expositions it participated in. The products soon became the choice of aviation pioneers and the milestones of short sport films.
Sophistication, tradition and performance. Virtues that stand the test of time.
